Description
Pitch Oil is a pure natural product. It is obtained from pitch stumps in Lapland when tar is burned. In its concentrated from pitch oil has the medicinal components of the Nordic oil plant, i,e. pine. Pitch Oil is composed of many elements, but its chemical composition is still unknown to reserchers. Pitch Oil has been used in health treatments in Finland for as long as tar-burning has been practiced. The seperation of high quality, pure pitch oil that occurs when tar is burned is precise and demanding work, which only a few people know how to do.
Pitch Oil is traditionally used:
As a preventative measure against viral diseases
-1-2 drops a day mixed in a spoonful of milk, cream or juice. Drop on a suger cube and let dissolve in the mouth.
For cough or symptoms of chill or cold
-1-10 drops at the first sign of symptoms during a course of a few days, at most. Taken as described above.
For psoriasis, dry, itchy and chapped skin and itchy rash
-Mix the pitch oil in a base cream at 5-10% and apply the cream directly on the problem area.
For mild burns and mycosis (i,e. nail fungus)
-Spread the pure pitch oil directly on the affected area.
Hemorrhoids
-Apply the pitch oil directly on the anus.
Insect repellent
-Spread directly or mixed in lubricating lotion or oil. A good mixture comprises 50% pitch oil and 50% rape seed oil. Effective on bites/stings of almost all flying insects.
For insect bites and stings
-Spread directly or as a cream on the affected akin area. Relieves pain, itching and swelling.
Earache
-Apply pitch oil to a cotton swab and place it in the ear.
Toothache
-Apply the pitch oil to the sore tooth and gums.
Wounds and cuts
-Apply pitch oil as a cream. Disinfects and numbs the surface.
For nasal congestion and head cold
-For use in the sauna; put some drops of pitch oil in water and throw the water on the sauna rocks. Also gives off a pleasant fragrance.
